An egoist does not relinquish quietly. He possesses the I-sense to the root. The individual’s I-sense prevents him from offering himself to others. For instance, if an individual only worries about his sound and does not care about other individuals, which may include his family or close friends and neighbours. Such an individual can be seen to be an egoistic person. These kinds of individuals need help to place the interest of other individuals before their own. Furthermore, their claims torment such individuals’ activities, utterances, and beliefs. For instance, imagine an event where a family member acquires a good job; all the family members are poor and lack the funds to survive. Even though this family member acquires a good job with excellent pay, he does not assist the other members but keeps everything for himself. This points out that for these individuals, the notion of I is higher than the notion of “us”. They only acknowledge themselves and grow to forget others.

He maintains quietness, having observed the misery of other individuals. He often asks the question, why should I help them?
