Ismaila Mabo, a former coach of the Super Falcons, has died at the age of 80.
Salisu Nakande Mamuwa, his younger brother and a former great player for the Golden Eaglets, announced his death early Monday morning.

At the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the 2000 Summer Olympics, and the 2004 Summer Olympics, Ismaila was the head coach of the senior women’s national team.
He took Nigeria to the quarterfinals of the World Cup, which was the best result the team had ever had.
It was gathered that his funeral would take place in Jos, Plateau State, late on Monday.
