D’Banj, whose real name is Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, has spoken out for the first time since his release from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) custody about 72 hours ago.
The musician declared on his verified Instagram that he had nothing to do with scams.
He thanked the public for their help and said he had shared his knowledge with the commission.
“Global, thank you to the world. I was invited on an ongoing investigation in ICPC. I have assisted the commission with all I know, and I am confident in their capacity to unravel the truth. I have no business with fraud; all I do is chop life. I was released on self-recognition because nothing was seen or found on me. God bless you all, my people,” he stated.
Pelumi Olajengbesi, the singer’s attorney, said D’Banj was freed on supervised probation on Friday afternoon; however, Olajengbesi was unable to confirm whether or not the ICPC had granted the musician administrative bail.
