President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed Prof Mojisola Adeyeye to serve a second and final five-year term as Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
Adeyeye’s new term began on December 1, 2022, after the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha, delivered the President’s approval.
The Director General’s reappointment was based on her record of monumental achievements and successes over the past five years, according to a statement released by NAFDAC’s Director of Public Affairs, Dr Abubakar Jimoh. This included the agency’s achievement of World Health Organization (WHO) Maturity Level 3.
It said that some employees at the agency’s corporate offices in Abuja welcomed Adeyeye yesterday and that she would discuss her second-term goals after the holidays. Adeyeye officially took her position yesterday.
