Morocco, the current holders of the African Nations for Championships (CHAN) title, have decided to withdraw from the competition.
Their withdrawal comes just one day before the beginning of the tournament, which will be held every two years and will be hosted in Algeria.
Ironically, they decided to pull out of the event after getting into a dispute with the nation hosting the competition over the travel arrangements.
Even though tensions between the two countries led to the cancellation of direct flights, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FMRF) insisted on their being on a direct flight from Rabat to Constantine.
