The registration fees clubs must pay to compete in this year’s Federation Cup tournament have been reduced by the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Taking part in this year’s competition will cost the men’s clubs N70,000, while the women’s clubs would have to fork over N50,000.

When contacted, Ruth David, Ag. Director of Competitions for the NFF, acknowledged that the NFF Board had decided to review the fees downward in the hopes of attracting a larger number of Clubs to compete in the men’s and women’s divisions this year.

Although the curriculum has remained the same since it was officially communicated to the Football Association in all 36 States and the FCT, registration prices have been reduced.

Club registration will last for two weeks, from January 16th-30th, and player registration forms, to be used in the creation of licences, will be submitted from January 31st-February 6th.

The 2023 Federation Cup will run from February 18th to March 19th across several States and the FCT, with the States and the FCT required to submit their two representatives for the national competition to the NFF by March 20th.

Playoff matchups, National Draws, and other stages of the national competition dates will be set later.
