Policeman held for killing Lagos lawyer

The officer, who was with other officers, ran from the scene, leaving the neighbourhood in disarray.

However, law enforcement apprehended and detained him.

At around 11 a.m., a police officer attempted to pull over a car, including Raheem, her sister, and four children.

According to information obtained by the police, the woman was attempting a U-turn under the Ajah Bridge when the officer opened fire on her vehicle.

The deceased reportedly took a bullet to the head and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police’s public relations officer, confirmed the event and said the officer involved was in arrest.

The officer has been arrested and will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti for further investigation, he said, adding, “The officer involved in the shooting is an ASP.”
