Nigerian-born Victor Osimhen debuted as a professional football player for VfL Wolfsburg in Germany in 2017. After spending the first half of the 2017–18 season with the club, he was loaned out to Belgian team Charleroi in 2018–19 before being officially transferred to French club Lille.

For a then-record €70 million, Serie A club Napoli acquired Victor Osimhen in 2020. He was named the Best Young Player in Serie A for the 2021-22 season. He was named the Golden Boot winner after Nigeria won the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Nigerian-born football star Victor Osimhen started at the Ultimate Strikers Academy in Lagos.  As a result of his impressive play at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, he signed a pre-contract with VfL Wolfsburg in January 2016, with the agreement that he would officially join the club in January 2017. On January 5, 2017, he signed a contract extension with the club for an additional three and a half years.

Wolfsburg’s 1-1 tie with Borussia Mönchengladbach on May 13 marked the debut of Victor Osimhen, who entered the game as a substitute. He was injured when he arrived. Later that month, on the final day of the 2016–17 season, Victor Osimhen played in a must-win relegation match against Hamburger SV.
