NSCDC: Bandits now face security operatives in Zamfara

The Controller-General (CG)of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Audi, has set up a committee of enquiry to investigate individuals or group of persons behind the ‘fake’ 2019/2021 replacement and recruitment supplementary list currently in circulation on social media.

The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp (NSCDC) has lamented that the bandits operating in the northwest part of the country are seriously killing their operatives.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the State Corps spokesman, Mr Aminu Maru.

He said that the killings of the operatives have continued unabated and was now a serious public concern, pointing out that more Corps Personnel were losing their lives in the cause of saving the lives of defenceless criticizes of Nigeria.

“This must stop because we are all living witnesses and we have been reading and hearing both in the social media and conventional media outfits. But I want to tell everybody that the northwest needs serious divine intervention,” he said.

Recall that recently, a group of gunmen suspected to be armed bandits stormed Sabuwa General hospital in Kastina State and abducted many patients in the hospital.

Newsmen report that most of the security operatives killed during the attack were members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps who were operating with less sophisticated arms and ammunitions.

According to an eyewitness, who did not want his name in print, when the bandits entered the hospital, they seized the security operatives in the hospital and started removing drips placed on the patients without any security intervention.
