Famous Kano state cleric, Malam Ibrahim Khaleel, has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The cleric told newsmen that he has written his resignation letter though he has not delivered it to the state party officials.

He said the reason for not submitting his resignation to the state party officials is due to the ongoing court case among the party leaders.

“I have written my resignation from APC and I am waiting for the outcome of the ongoing court case between the party leadership, only then will I present my resignation to the affirmed party leadership,” he said.

The cleric added that he wanted to resign since November but due to the intervention of the state council of Ulama and the Kano state government, he halted the move.
