It all seemed decided that Christian Eriksen was going to stay at Brentford and turn down Manchester United. However, the Dane has now changed his mind and plans to sign for the Red Devils.

Christian Eriksen has been a major target for Manchester United for weeks. The British media reported that the player was content on staying put at Brentford, the club with which he revived his career after suffering from a cardiac arrest during the Euros last summer.

The Red Devils, via Erik ten Hag, offered Eriksen a healthy contract for next season. However, the 30 year old centremidfielder decided to reject the proposal. The main sticking point with the deal was the fact that the Dane did not want to live in Manchester, as he likes his life in London.

However, it is worth highlighting that the midfielder never publically expressed his desire to remain at Brentford. His most recent words on the subject, heard publically, were that he had “different offers” which he was “considering”.

But, in recent days, it seems as though the ex Tottenham and Inter player is having his doubts on staying at Brentford. According to ‘Sky Sports’, he is having trouble making a decision between remaining with “The Bees”, or accepting United’s offer.
