Genk are reported to have agreed personal terms with Ike Ugbo, who last season played on loan at another Belgian club, Cercle Brugge, but Anderlecht and Italian club have not given up on signing the Chelsea striker.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Ugbo has already agreed personal terms with Genk, who are shopping for a replacement for Goal King Paul Onuachu who is likely to move to a major league club.
Genk are also prepared to pay Chelsea five Million Euros for the striker, who has a year left on his contract.
However, fresh reports have suggested that Anderlecht are also interested in the striker whose goals last season saved Cercle Brugge from relegation.
The Brussels club want a direct replacement for last season’s leading scorer Lukas Nmecha, who has signed for Bundesliga club Wolfsburg.
Serie A club Bologna have also been linked with Ugbo.
